Een van de meest succesvolle raceauto’s uit de geschiedenis; de Bugatti Type 35 heeft in zijn verschillende gedaanten meer dan 1.000 overwinningen in de autosport behaald, vestigde tientallen records en won zelfs de beroemde Targa Florio vijf jaar op rij.
Deze junior auto is een fantastische replica op schaal van de iconische vooroorlogse sportwagen en wordt gebouwd door een klassieke vakman. De auto met bouwnummer 1, die momenteel wordt gebouwd, wordt gespoten in het iconische French Racing Blue. Hij wordt aangedreven door een 110 cc viertaktmotor met elektrische starter onder de motorkap, met cardanaandrijving naar de achteras en met een aan de buitenkant gemonteerde versnellingspook en handremhendel.
Hij is ongeveer 280 cm lang en is vervaardigd met een stalen chassis en een combinatie van carrosserie delen van glasvezel en metaal. De echte Type 35 was een van de eerste auto’s met gegoten wielen, en net als de uitvoering op ware grootte, is deze kinderauto ook uitgerust met een set lichtmetalen velgen. De auto kan tot stilstand gebracht worden door de vier mechanische trommelremmen. Er is ook een schitterend interieur, leren motorkapriemen en prachtig afgewerkt metaalwerk voor o.a. de voorwielophanging, de bladvering, de radiatorbekleding en de tankdop.
Als display-model zou deze ‘3/4 schaal’ Type 35 een prachtige aanvulling zijn op elke verzameling. Maar er kan natuurlijk ook, heel voorzichtig, mee worden gereden!

This junior car is a fantastic scale replica of the iconic pre-war sports car, built by a classic craftsman. The build number 1 car, which is currently under construction, will be painted in the iconic French Racing Blue. It is powered by a 110cc four-stroke engine with electric starter under the hood, shaft drive to the rear axle and an externally mounted gear lever and handbrake lever.
It is approximately 280 cm long and is constructed with a steel chassis and a combination of fiberglass and metal body parts. The real Type 35 was one of the first cars to have cast wheels, and like the full-size version, this children’s car is also fitted with a set of alloy wheels. The car can be brought to a stop by the four mechanical drum brakes. There is also a stunning interior, leather bonnet straps and beautifully finished metalwork for the front suspension, leaf springs, radiator trim and fuel filler cap.
As a display model, this ‘3/4 scale’ Type 35 would make a wonderful addition to any collection. But it can of course also be driven very carefully!
